Policy Regarding Membership in the MBR
Proposed by the MBR Membership Committee Adopted by the General Membership on May 19, 2011 Ordained rabbis are encouraged to join the MBR and become a part of our growing and vibrant organization. Here is our membership policy: Rabbis who are current members-in-good-standing of the following recognized Rabbinic Associations are eligible for membership in the Massachusetts Board of Rabbis:
Rabbinic ordinees who are not members of the aforementioned organizations may apply for membership in the Massachusetts Board of Rabbis by submitting an application to the Membership Committee and Executive Board of the MBR. In order to be considered for membership, such applications must meet the following criteria:
Any rabbi whose membership has been suspended by or has been expelled from his/her primary rabbinic association listed above, shall have his/her membership in the Massachusetts Board of Rabbis suspended or will be expelled for the same period of time. Print out the form, fill it out as completely as possible, and send it, along with your check, to the address indicated on the form.
